My Journey

A Life-Altering Crisis

Sometimes, life forces you to re-evaluate your beliefs through a survival crisis so profound it impacts every cell of your body.

My Transformational Journey

My journey began in the hospital room of GOSH, where my 7-year-old daughter was diagnosed with a malignant brain tumor. Suddenly, my focus shifted beyond a “healthy diet” to finding ways to nourish her emaciated body while chemotherapy destroyed fast-reproducing cells, including those in her gut.

MSc in Clinical Nutrition: A Deeper Understanding

This experience demanded more than knowledge from books or training. It required an understanding born of unconditional love—a drive to help my daughter in a way nothing else could. With an MSc in Clinical Nutrition and wisdom gained from incredible mentors, I invite you to embark on your own health journey. Together, we can explore how to nurture and take responsibility for your body—mentally and physically—for true health and vitality.

The Bioenergetic View: Energy as the Key to Health

My philosophy focuses on understanding the body through how efficiently it produces energy at the cellular level—what we call the bioenergetic view. Your health is directly tied to how efficiently your cells generate energy from the foods you choose to eat. This understanding draws on the metabolic and hormonal insights of Dr Ray Peat PhD. This process, known as metabolism, is like your body’s engine: it drives vitality and well-being and you are only as healthy as your ability to produce energy. This is where food and lifestyle can impact.

The Role of Mitochondria in Vitality

The health of your cells depends on mitochondria, the powerhouses that fuel energy production. When energy production is slow or impaired, symptoms like fatigue, mood changes, weight imbalances, hormonal disruptions, poor sleep, and even illness can arise.

Taking Responsibility for Your Metabolism

It’s essential to take responsibility for your metabolism by making informed choices about your diet and lifestyle. Certain foods and habits can either support or hinder energy production, and improving these areas often leads to an improved balance, stable weight, more energy for life, and improved mental and hormonal health.

Choosing the Right Foods for Your Body

By prioritising certain fats, proteins, and carbohydrates in the right balance—rather than rigidly adhering to one-size-fits-all dietary rules—can optimize digestion, energy and vitality. Your body needs calories to convert into ATP, the currency of energy that sustains life, and how well you do this determines your overall health.

A Journey Toward Health and Vitality

This journey is about understanding your body and its unique needs. I provide tools and guidance to help you take responsibility for your health, but the work is ultimately yours. Together, we’ll uncover what supports your energy production so you can feel better, achieve your goals, and live with vitality.
